Manchester, NH: Cadec Global, a leading provider of advanced fleet management solutions, announced that it has joined the Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay Transport Partnership, an innovative collaboration between EPA and the freight industry to increase energy efficiency while significantly reducing greenhouse gases and air pollution.
Some of the resources SmartWay provides to accomplish these goals are tools to measure fleet efficiency and environmental results. Additional components of the program include innovative finance programs, marketing opportunities and technology verification systems. SmartWay Partners are assigned dedicated partner account managers that assist them with all aspects of the program.
Fuel efficiency and environmental impact are key concerns of the trucking fleet customers Cadec serves around the world. As an Affiliate Partner, Cadec will help evangelize the SmartWay program to its customers.
"SmartWay participants and affiliates are setting the pace for their industries,” says Matthew Payne of the EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership Group. "Companies such as Cadec can play an important role in encouraging and assisting transportation providers to reduce their fuel consumption, save money and protect the environment.”
"Going green is not only environmentally responsible, it also makes good business sense for transportation companies,” said Michael Baney, CEO of Cadec. "Fuel efficiency and environmental protection are key benefits of Cadec's advanced fleet management solutions, so joining the EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership was an easy decision for us.”
